About the crew Word
Tempesta Crew has just released its first album : "TORENTIAL". More info on http://myspace.com/tempestacrew.
Tempesta Crew is the first, and probably the only Hip-hop crew in Romania that has succeeded in uniting all the 4 elements: MC-ing, Dj-ing, Graffiti and Breakdance. The idea of forming this crew occurred in 2002, when only a rap band, The Lyrical TempesT, composed of Shatyr and KFL, existed. But the crew was brought into being in the summer of 2004, starting as an MC- and graffiti-writers group. As time passed, the crew has recruted Dj-s, Bboys and not only. In 2005 it has reached the following structure:
~Graffiti writers - Meteo/MT24 and Rise (under TSA)
~DJs - Shortez and Omega
~Bboys - ProSeed Crew
~MCz/Lyricists/Vocalists - Shatyr, Cumulus the Overcast aka Sub-con5cience, Rugz, NeVe, Lala, SlyDeR
~Production - NeVe, Mag 1, Vanda Lizeh, Slyder, Ciupe, T.B.
~Streetball - the TorenT Team
~Video editing - Ciupe
Details on the members:
Shatyr is the founding member of the crew. As an MC he has a very offensive style, based on punchy flow and aggressive lyrics. Newly, he's also into DnB and beatboxing.
Shortez started out as a drumandbass DJ, but has also adapted to rap. Her main characteristic would be a very swift schratching technique.
Meteo and Rise are the main TSA graffiti writers and are mostly into pieces (piece-ing actually :P), rather than bombing.
As of 10-1-06, solo artist and Upper Echelon member Sub-con5cience has become part of the Tempesta family as a featured international artist from Colorado. Currently Sub-con5cience is working on two full length solo albums "The Man and the Animal: A Poetic Aggresion" and "Lessons in Myth and History" both with release dates yet to be determined. Along with his solo works he is also combining efforts with other Tempesta crew members for our upcoming mixtape. If that wasnt enough he is also working on numerous colaboration efforts with artists all over the world from California to Philadelphia to Greece all while still focusing most of his attention to his main group The Upper Echelon.
The common side of all of our Tempesta projects will be ORIGINALITY, because this is one of the main principles Tempesta relies on. TempesTa Crew has always been against copying, plagiarism, fakers etc.
